Aaron Vance grew up in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and graduated from Muskingum University in 2016 with a degree in Music Education. After teaching high school band in Yuma, Arizona, Aaron returned to the area and now prepares music, lyrics, slides, and technology for services at New Philadelphia First UMC, including rehearsing the choir, and handbell choir, as well as supporting special events.
Aaron and his wife, Corlee, have two dogs, Todd and Meg, and two cats, Kanji and Chie.
Some of Aaron’s favorite things include composing music, playing with his band, and occasionally serving as a Dungeon Master in Dungeons & Dragons. He likes mint chocolate chip ice cream, and he would love to travel to rural Japan for a vacation.
For Aaron, the most rewarding moments at the church are seeing how music can touch hearts and bring people closer to God.
